By the end of 2023, there are more than 1,700 drone enterprises in Shenzhen, with an annual output value of 96 billion yuan, an increase of 28%; A total of 126 low-altitude air routes have been opened, 89 UAV take-off and landing points have been built, and more than 600,000 UAV cargo and comprehensive flights will be carried out by 2023.

On January 6, the “Shenzhen low-altitude fusion Flight Demonstration Zone eVTOL (Unmanned manned electric vertical Take-off and landing vehicle) first flight test” was completed in Dameisha Binhai Bus Station, and the activity site showed the EH216-S unmanned manned aircraft flying around the field. The aircraft has successfully obtained the type certificate and standard airworthiness certificate issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, becoming the first eVTOL in the world to obtain the airworthiness certificate. At the end of December 2023, a standardized urban air traffic operation demonstration center landed in Bao ‘an District, Shenzhen, and an unmanned manned aircraft from Guangzhou Ehang conducted a test flight demonstration.

The continuous test flights of unmanned manned aircraft (aircraft) mean that in the near future, the way of travel in Shenzhen, in addition to “City Walk”, there are “City Fly”.

According to the data of the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Transport, from January to October 2023, Shenzhen has opened 74 new UAV routes, 69 new UAV take-off and landing points, and completed 421,000 cargo UAV flights. More than 1,500 enterprises in the industrial chain, such as DJI, Fengyi Technology, Meituan UAV, CITIC Haizhi, and Eastern General Aviation, cover a variety of application scenarios such as logistics distribution, urban governance, and emergency rescue.

The construction of systems to ensure the safe flight of drones is also accelerating. Last year, the Longhua District government and Yuanyuan Technology jointly built a low-altitude digital integrated service platform, and completed the first low-altitude digital navigation map access to the CIM platform, realizing the integration of low-altitude data and urban data, providing one-stop services for the registration, declaration and low-altitude communication, navigation, weather and other flight support for Longhua District general navigation and drone users. And support Longhua District low-altitude scene application and business model innovation.
